Finally, the second campout of the year is here - Cuivre River State Park! After a very long period of "Extreme Heat Warnings", the heat broke and it was once again comfortable to camp in a tent! Ahead of last year by almost a month but still far behind where I would really like to start camping for the year, the first trip of 2026 is here! Although things are the same as last year, they are still very much different. Last year, my wife and I added a third camper to our adventures and this year we still have the same little camper however, like last year, sleep will be a new adventure all over again. Here we are, the fifth and likely final, camping trip of the season! The destination this time is Cuivre River State Park . This weekend would see a high temperature around 80°F on Friday and around 60°F overnight - perfect weather for camping!
