Field & Stream Eagle Run 12' Kayak

The Boat

Quality - 5/5 stars

For something that sits out in the sun quite a bit, taking all the wear and tear from the UV rays, it really has held up pretty well. I won't say all the pieces are the most well made but I've had it now for plenty of years and everything on it is still original so no complaints there!

Usefulness - 5/5 stars

There's not a lot a kayak can do but what it does, it does well! I save money on boat rentals when taking float trips and visiting local bodies of water. The boat floats, no leaks, and has everything it should have so what more do you need from a kayak?

Cost - 4/5 stars

It is a bit pricey to buy a kayak of this size. Certainly the cost of materials and the labor and all that don't equate to $700 in 2012 money but I did buy mine for $350, half the price on sale so that was a huge benefit! I would also recommend buying one on sale as who really wants to pay full price on anything?

Overall - 5/5 stars

Its a kayak, it has 1 specific use case but what it does, it does well and just the way I would like it done! It can haul limited gear but more than a smaller boat could do. It has fishing pole holders which is great! On top of it all, I can take it anywhere kayaking is allowed and get on the water, perfect!
